Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition Listed by Canadian Retailer at $80.99

A new retailer listing gives us the clearest price signal yet for the Switch 2 edition of FromSoftware's masterpiece.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition — the much-anticipated Switch 2 version of FromSoftware's open-world magnum opus — has been spotted on Canadian gaming retailer PNP Games' website, listing at $80.99 USD (approximately CAD $109.99). While the listing has since been taken down, the price point offers the clearest signal yet about the game's expected retail cost.

The $80.99 price tag aligns with the broader industry trend toward premium-priced releases. For context, most current-gen AAA titles launch at $69.99, meaning the Tarnished Edition would carry a roughly $11 premium — likely justified by the inclusion of the base game plus the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and any Switch 2-specific enhancements. Nintendo's platform has historically commanded slightly higher prices for late ports of major titles.

This listing comes on the heels of Kadokawa's most recent financial report, which reaffirmed that both Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and the new title The Duskbloods remain on track for a 2026 release as Switch 2 exclusives. The Duskbloods, developed internally by FromSoftware, is described as a brand-new dark fantasy IP built specifically for Nintendo's next-generation hardware.

FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki has previously expressed enthusiasm about bringing the Elden Ring experience to Nintendo's platform, citing the Switch 2's improved hardware capabilities — especially its custom NVIDIA chipset — as key enablers for delivering a faithful port of the Lands Between. The Tarnished Edition is expected to run at a stable 30 FPS in handheld mode and target 60 FPS when docked, though official specs have yet to be confirmed.

For players who have yet to experience Elden Ring or those looking for a portable way to revisit the Lands Between, the Tarnished Edition is shaping up to be an essential 2026 release. Stay tuned for an official announcement and pre-order details from Bandai Namco and FromSoftware.
