Elden Ring Boss Guide

Complete strategies for all major bosses including Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Shardbearers & Main Bosses

Lvl 30-40

Godrick the Grafted

Limgrave · Stormveil Castle

Strategy: Stay close to avoid his ranged attacks. Phase 2 dragon head breath — run behind him. Weak to bleed. Summon Nepheli Loux if available.

Drops: Godrick's Great Rune, Remembrance of the Grafted
Lvl 50-60

Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon

Liurnia · Raya Lucaria Academy

Strategy: Phase 1 kill the singing children. Phase 2 she's a glass cannon — rush her down with melee. Magic resistance is high, physical damage works best.

Drops: Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen, Great Rune
Lvl 60-80

Starscourge Radahn

Caelid · Redmane Castle

Strategy: Summon all NPCs (their signs are on the ground). Re-summon when they die. Use Torrent to close distance. Phase 2 meteor attack — dodge sideways.

Drops: Remembrance of the Starscourge
Lvl 80-100

Morgott, the Omen King

Leyndell · Erdtree Sanctuary

Strategy: Fast boss with delayed attacks. Don't panic roll. His phase 2 adds more holy damage — equip holy resistance talisman. Margit's harder version.

Drops: Morgott's Great Rune, Remembrance
Lvl 100-120

Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy

Mt. Gelmir · Volcano Manor

Strategy: Use the Serpent-Hunter (spear found in the arena). It fires projectiles with the weapon art. Phase 2 skull rain — keep moving.

Drops: Remembrance of the Blasphemous
Lvl 120-150

Malenia, Blade of Miquella

Haligtree · Elphael

Strategy: The hardest boss in the game. Waterfowl Dance — run away on first flurry, dodge into her on second. Use Bloodhound's Step or shield. Bleed or frost works best. Summon mimic tear +10.

Drops: Remembrance of the Rot Goddess
Lvl 150+

Maliketh, the Black Blade

Farum Azula · Beside the Great Bridge

Strategy: Phase 1 (Beast Clergyman) — aggressive, parryable. Phase 2 (Maliketh) — destined death debuff reduces max HP. Stay close and roll behind him.

Drops: Remembrance of the Black Blade
Final Boss

Elden Beast / Radagon

Leyndell · Queen's Bedchamber

Strategy: Radagon is slow but hits hard — holy damage. Elden Beast is a running fight — chase it down. Holy resistance talisman + Haligdrake +2 is essential.

Drops: Remembrance of the Elden Lord

Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Bosses

DLC

Messmer the Impaler

Shadow Keep

Strategy: Fire-based attacks. Phase 2 snakes everywhere — keep moving. Use fire resistance. Scadutree blessing level 10+ recommended.

Drops: Remembrance of the Impaler
DLC

Promised Consort Radahn

Enir-Ilim

Strategy: The final DLC boss. Extremely aggressive, light beams everywhere. Phase 2 adds holy nukes. Use the best holy resist gear available. This is widely considered FromSoft's hardest boss ever.

Drops: Remembrance of a God and a Lord
DLC

Rellana, Twin Moon Knight

Castle Ensis

Strategy: Magic + melee hybrid. Phase 2 adds moon magic attacks. Dodge left on her combos. Magic resistance recommended.

Pro Tips

Spirit Ashes Priority

Mimic Tear +10 — best in slot for any build.
Black Knife Tiche +10 — best for mages.
Lhutel the Headless +10 — tanky and teleports.
Level your favorite spirit ash to +10 before major bosses.

Status Effects

Bleed — OP against almost everything (especially the Lord of Blood talisman).
Frost — reduces defense and deals % damage.
Scarlet Rot — great for dragons.
Bosses immune to one status are usually weak to another.

DLC Tips

Collect Scadutree Fragments before tackling major bosses. Each fragment increases your damage dealt and reduces damage taken in the DLC area. Recommended: Scadutree Blessing level 12+ for the final boss.
