Suggested Level: 1-30

Limgrave

Starting Area

The first region. Follow the Sites of Grace guidance northwest to Stormveil. Explore the weeping peninsula south first — it's easier and has upgrade materials.

Key Items: Flask of Wondrous Physick, Sacred Tear, Golden Seed, Whee-blade, Beast Crest Heater Shield

Boss: Margit (Lvl 25+) → Godrick (Lvl 35+)

Suggested Level: 30-50

Weeping Peninsula

South of Limgrave

Easier than Stormveil. Full of upgrade materials and Golden Seeds. Do this BEFORE Godrick. The entire peninsula is accessible from the start.

Key Items: Sacred Tears (2), Golden Seeds (3), Zweihander, Greatsword (colossal), Lordsworn's gear

Boss: Leonine Misbegotten (Lvl 30) — drops the Iron Greatsword

Suggested Level: 40-60

Liurnia of the Lakes

North of Stormveil

Vast lake region. The main path leads to Raya Lucaria Academy. Explore the cliffs and ruins for Glintstone sorceries. Caria Manor to the northwest.

Key Items: Memory Stones, Moonveil (Gael Tunnel), Carian Knight Set, Glintstone Staffs

Boss: Rennala (Lvl 55+)

Suggested Level: 50-70

Caelid & Dragonbarrow

East of Limgrave

High difficulty spike. Reduces your vision and heals are halved. South Caelid is manageable at 50+, Dragonbarrow is for 80+. Watch for the giant dogs.

Key Items: Radagon's Soreseal, Moonveil, Meteorite Staff (S-tier early staff), Rock Sling

Boss: Radahn (Lvl 65+) — festival triggered by progressing Ranni's quest

Suggested Level: 60-80

Altus Plateau

North of Liurnia

Reached via the Grand Lift of Dectus (requires two medallion halves). Green misty highlands with the capital ahead. Mt. Gelmir is to the west.

Key Items: Blasphemous Blade materials, Golden Vow, Erdtree Sanctuary, numerous cookbooks

Boss: Magma Wyrm Makar (Lvl 60) on the alternate route

Suggested Level: 70-90

Mt. Gelmir

West of Altus

Volcanic region leading to Volcano Manor. Lava everywhere. The dungeon is legacy-dungeon sized with excellent loot. Complete the Volcano Manor questline for unique gear.

Key Items: Blasphemous Blade (kill Rykard), Serpent-Hunter, Talisman pouch (2nd)

Boss: Rykard (Lvl 85+), Godskin Noble (Lvl 75)

Suggested Level: 80-100

Leyndell, Royal Capital

Altus Plateau center

The golden capital. Massive legacy dungeon with branching paths. Exceedingly dense with loot and secrets. Don't miss the sewers and the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

Key Items: Erdtree Greatshield, Bolt of Gransax, 3rd talisman pouch, numerous upgrade stones

Boss: Morgott (Lvl 90+), Godfrey shade (Lvl 80)

Suggested Level: 100-120

Mountaintops of the Giants

After Leyndell

Skeletal, snowy endgame region. This is where difficulty spikes sharply. Enemies hit very hard. The Consecrated Snowfield is a hidden optional area to the northwest.

Key Items: Haligtree Secret Medallion, Rivers of Blood, Sacred Relic Sword materials

Boss: Fire Giant (Lvl 100+), Godskin Duo (Farum Azula, Lvl 110)

Suggested Level: 120-150

Crumbling Farum Azula

After Mountaintops

Sky temple in a storm. Non-linear layout. The beast clergyman boss is optional but worth killing. This area leads to the final stretch of the game.

Key Items: Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones, Somber Ancient Dragon Stone, Maliketh's Black Blade

Boss: Maliketh (Lvl 120+), Godskin Duo (Lvl 110), Placidusax (secret, Lvl 130+)

Suggested Level: 120-150

Miquella's Haligtree

Secret area — Consecrated Snowfield

Hidden area accessed via the Haligtree Secret Medallion. The hardest optional area in the base game. Elphael is a gauntlet of tough enemies leading to Malenia.

Key Items: Haligtree weapons, Somber Ancient Stone, Unalloyed Gold armor

Boss: Malenia (Lvl 140+), Loretta (Lvl 120)

Scadutree 10+

Shadow of the Erdtree

DLC — Mohgwyn Dynasty access

Massive DLC landmass. Collect Scadutree Fragments in every corner before main bosses. New weapon types: Great Katanas, Backhand Blades, Light Greatswords, Perfume Bottles.

Key Areas: Gravesite Plain, Scadu Altus, Shadow Keep, Abyssal Woods, Enir-Ilim

Boss: Messmer (Scadutree 8+), Midra (hidden), Radahn (Scadutree 15+, hardest in game)

Suggested Level: 150+

FINAL: Ashen Capital

Leyndell transformed

The final area. Leyndell has been consumed by the Erdtree's ashes. Straightforward path to the final boss. Prepare all weapons and consumables — no going back to shops after lighting the grace.

Prep Checklist: +25/+10 weapon, 60 VIG, all golden seeds collected, all sacred tears collected

Boss: Godfrey (Lvl 150+) → Radagon / Elden Beast (Lvl 150+)
