Elden Ring Speedrun History Made — Any% Glitchless Completed in Under 29 Minutes

A top Elden Ring speedrunner has shattered the any% glitchless world record with an astonishing 28:47 run, pushing the boundaries of what's possible without exploits.

The Elden Ring speedrunning community is celebrating a historic milestone. Popular speedrunner and content creator "GinoMachino" has achieved a sub-29 minute any% glitchless run, completing the game in just 28 minutes and 47 seconds — a feat many considered nearly impossible just months ago.

The run, which was streamed live to thousands of viewers, showcases an almost flawless execution of the current any% glitchless route. The category forbids all glitches, wrong warps, and out-of-bounds exploits, relying purely on optimized movement, precise combat, and deep game knowledge.

GinoMachino's strategy relies on a highly optimized early-game route that quickly acquires essential items: the Horse Whistle for rapid traversal, the Sacred Relic Sword as the primary weapon, and specific talismans that boost damage output. The run features near-perfect boss fights against Godrick the Grafted, Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, and the final boss trio of Godfrey, Radagon, and the Elden Beast.

The most impressive section of the run was the Elden Beast fight, which GinoMachino dispatched in under 90 seconds using a carefully calibrated build that maximized Holy damage negation while outputting sustained damage. The margin for error was razor-thin — a single mistimed dodge would have sent the run back to the last Site of Grace.

"I've been working on this route for over three months," GinoMachino said after the run. "Every jump, every enemy skip, every boss attack pattern had to be memorized to perfection. The 29-minute barrier was this huge mental block for the whole community, and to finally break through it on livestream is just incredible."

The previous record of 29:31 was set just two weeks ago by Japanese runner "Ruri," making this the third time the record has fallen in the past month. The intense competition has driven a rapid evolution of routing strategies, with runners discovering new skips and optimizations at an unprecedented pace.

This speedrun milestone comes at an exciting time for the Elden Ring community, with anticipation building for the Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, expected to launch in Fall 2026. The expanded player base from the Switch 2 release could bring fresh talent to the speedrunning scene.

The speedrunning community is already analyzing GinoMachino's VOD to identify potential improvements, suggesting that the sub-28 minute barrier may be the next target. For now, the Elden Ring any% glitchless community celebrates a new champion and a new benchmark in gaming excellence.
