Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.7 Datamine: New Armor Sets, Colosseum Updates Hidden in Files

Dataminers uncover references to unannounced Patch 1.7 content including new armor sets, Colosseum map updates, a mysterious "Endless Gauntlet" modifier, and more — sparking community speculation about what FromSoftware has in store.

Hot on the heels of Nightreign Update 1.6's massive Boss Rush mode launch, data miners have already turned their attention to what comes next. Digging through the latest game files, the modding community has uncovered a trove of references pointing to content that could arrive in a future Patch 1.7 — and the findings have the community buzzing.

▎New Armor Sets: The "Oracular" Collection
The most prominent discovery is a set of file entries referencing what the community has dubbed the "Oracular Armor Collection." File paths under parts/oracular suggest at least three complete armor sets: Oracular Prophet (light), Oracular Seer (medium), and Oracular Diviner (heavy). Each entry includes references to full body armor, gauntlets, greaves, and helms with unique stat configurations. The naming convention departs from Elden Ring's existing Greco-Roman and Norse-inspired aesthetic, trending instead toward a mysterious prophetic theme that has lore enthusiasts scrambling for connections to existing item descriptions.

Texture file entries suggest the armor sets feature a luminescent glow effect — potentially a dynamic reactive material that shifts color based on equipped talismans or status effects. If true, this would be a first for Elden Ring's armor system and could signal a new visual customization layer.

▎Colosseum Map Updates
Perhaps more significant for the PvP community, the datamine also uncovered references to updated Colosseum map variants. Files labeled "colosseum_limgrave_finale," "colosseum_caelid_nightmare," and "colosseum_consecrated_aflame" suggest that all three existing Colosseum arenas — Limgrave, Caelid, and Leyndell — could receive alternate versions with modified layouts, time-of-day changes, and potentially environmental hazards.

The "Consecrated Aflame" variant is particularly intriguing, as it appears to introduce fire pillars as dynamic obstacles that periodically erupt across the arena floor, forcing players to constantly reposition. This would represent a major departure from Elden Ring's traditional static PvP arenas and inject a roguelike unpredictability into organized duels.

▎Endless Gauntlet: Boss Rush's Next Evolution
The most mysterious find is a string reference to "gauntlet_endless" — a potential endless mode modifier for the existing Boss Rush system. While Patch 1.6's Boss Rush offers fixed-sequence runs, "Endless Gauntlet" appears to generate a randomized, theoretically infinite sequence of boss encounters with scaling difficulty and reward multipliers. Speedrunners who have pushed Patch 1.6's Boss Rush to its limits are already salivating at the prospect.

▎What's Official?
As always with datamined content, nothing is confirmed until FromSoftware makes an official announcement. Patch 1.6 only launched five days ago, and the studio typically maintains a 4-6 week cadence between major updates. If Patch 1.7 follows this pattern, players could expect an official announcement by mid-to-late August — potentially aligning with Gamescom 2026.
