Teaser images posted across Fortnite's social media channels show silhouettes of towering neon-lit skyscrapers reflected in rain-slicked streets, strongly suggesting that Chapter 7 will introduce an urban-centric map inspired by classic cyberpunk aesthetics.
The most exciting revelation came from a separate developer blog post, where Epic confirmed that Chapter 7 will debut a new version of Fortnite built on Unreal Engine 6 (UE6). This marks the first public implementation of Epic's next-generation engine in a shipping title, promising significant visual upgrades including real-time ray tracing, improved destruction physics, and dynamic weather systems that affect gameplay — such as rain reducing visibility and wind altering projectile trajectories.
