Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Now Live — Heist Theme, Neon City POI and Zero Point Heist

The wait is over. Chapter 6 Season 3 brings a high-stakes heist theme to the island with a sprawling neon-lit city, vault-hacking gameplay mechanics, and a colossal Zero Point twist.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Heist Protocol has officially gone live across all platforms, and Epic Games has delivered one of the most ambitious seasonal updates in the battle royale's history. Players logging in today are greeted with a transformed island centered around a massive new urban POI, a fresh season-long narrative around stealing from the Zero Point itself, and the promise of a blockbuster collaboration lurking just over the horizon.

The centerpiece of Season 3 is "Neon Reach," a sprawling, neon-drenched metropolis that dominates the center of the island. Drawing inspiration from cyberpunk aesthetics with towering skyscrapers, holographic billboards, and rain-slicked streets, Neon Reach is the largest single POI Fortnite has ever seen. The district is divided into several sub-zones — the financial core filled with bank vaults, the industrial underbelly with hidden smuggling tunnels, and the rooftop network that connects the city's vertical layout.

A brand-new gameplay mechanic, Vault Hacking, is the season's defining feature. Players who locate hidden keycards or crack security codes can access underground vaults scattered across the map. Each vault contains high-tier loot, mythic weapons, and one-time-use "Heist Gadgets" including thermal goggles, EMP charges, and portable zip-line launchers. The highest-value vault — located beneath Neon Reach's central tower — requires coordinating with teammates to solve a multi-stage puzzle before the vault door opens.

The Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass follows the heist theme with a lineup of new original characters including Cipher (a master hacker), Bronson (a getaway driver with a heart of gold), and Madame Vex (the mysterious puppet master behind the season's criminal underworld). Returning skins from the recent Overwatch collaboration carry over as bonus rewards for those who missed items in the previous season.

Rumors of a major collaboration have been circulating for weeks, and while Epic hasn't formally announced anything, data miners have uncovered references to what appears to be a high-profile film franchise crossing over with Fortnite. Given the heist theme, speculation is running wild — from Ocean's Eleven to Mission: Impossible or even a GTA-themed crossover. An announcement is expected within the first two weeks of the season.

The competitive meta has also shifted significantly. The removal of lethal fall damage introduced in v40.40 remains active, radically changing high-ground strategies. The new vault-hacking mechanics have already created early-game hot zones around key locations, and the mythic weapons obtainable from vaults are reshaping the late-game power balance.

Welcome to Chapter 6 Season 3 — time to plan the perfect heist. We'll be updating our Maps & POIs guide with detailed Neon Reach tactical breakdowns and vault locations shortly.
