Fortnite Chapter 7 — Loki Variants Mini-Event Live, Massive Marvel Collab Leaks Surface

Epic Games has deployed the latest content update for Fortnite Chapter 7: Neon City. The update introduces weapon balance changes, a new mini-event featuring Loki variants from the Marvel multiverse, and early leaks suggest an enormous Marvel collaboration in the pipeline.

Epic Games is keeping the Chapter 7 momentum going with a substantial content drop. A new update went live this week, bringing a wave of changes to the Neon City island.

Loki Variants Mini-Event

The most immediately visible new content is the "Loki: Multiverse of Mayhem" mini-event, running from now until the end of the season. Several Loki variants from across the Marvel multiverse have arrived on the island, including the classic Loki (Tom Hiddleston), President Loki, and the fan-favorite Alligator Loki. These characters appear as NPCs at various named locations, offering unique quests and rewards.

Players who complete the full set of Loki quests will earn the "God of Mischief" loading screen and a new back bling — the "Tesseract Prism." There's also a limited-time Mythic item: Loki's Scepter, which fires energy projectiles that confuse enemies and temporarily turn them against each other.

Weapon Meta Shift

The v40.50 update also brings significant weapon adjustments. The Twin Mag SMG, which dominated the early-season meta, has received a damage nerf and increased recoil. The Heist Shotgun, a season-exclusive weapon, has been buffed with tighter spread and faster pump speed, making it a more competitive option at close range.

Epic has also vaulted the Charge Rifle and unvaulted the classic Heavy Sniper Rifle, much to the delight of long-range enthusiasts. The much-requested return of the Grappler (not the Spider-Man web shooters, but the classic grappling hook) as a floor loot item has been one of the most positively received changes in the patch.

Chapter 7 Marvel Collab Rumors

Perhaps the most exciting news comes from dataminers who have combed through the v40.50 files. References to what appears to be a massive Marvel collaboration have been discovered, potentially tied to the Chapter 7 launch. While Chapter 6 Season 3 still has several weeks remaining, leaks suggest the next chapter could feature a full Marvel-themed season, similar to the Chapter 2 Season 4 "Nexus War" event but on a much larger scale.

Files referencing "Avengers Tower POI," "Thanos Mythic (reworked)," and various Marvel character skins — including Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and a new Iron Man armor variant — have been found in the game's code. Epic has not officially commented on the leaks, but the sheer volume of references suggests something significant is in the works.

For now, players still have plenty to enjoy in Chapter 6 Season 3: Big Score. With the heist theme, the Loki mini-event, and the ever-evolving meta, Fortnite continues to justify its position as the longest-running live-service battle royale on the market.
