Fortnite The Big Score Live Event Now Active — Complete Heist Guide and All Reward Tiers

The long-awaited The Big Score heist event has officially gone live in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3. Grab your crew, equip your lockpicks, and get ready for the most lucrative heist in the island's history.

The wait is over. Epic Games has activated The Big Score — Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3's signature limited-time event — and it's every bit as ambitious as the teasers suggested. Blending infiltration mechanics, cooperative objective play, and the classic Battle Royale formula, The Big Score transforms parts of the island into high-stakes heist zones where players compete (and occasionally cooperate) to pull off the ultimate robbery.

How It Works: Throughout the match, special Heist Vaults will appear at three landmark locations that shift each game. These vaults are packed with high-tier loot, mythic weapons, and bars — but cracking them isn't as simple as walking up and opening the door. Players must first locate Keycard Fragments, which are dropped by special Heist Guards patrolling the vault areas. Collect three fragments to assemble a full Keycard, then make your way to the vault and initiate the lockdown sequence. Once inside, you'll have a limited window to grab as much loot as possible before the vault's self-destruct sequence activates.

Reward Tiers: The Big Score introduces a dedicated event progression track with over 30 tiers of rewards. Here are the highlights:

Free Track (All Players): Includes the "Cat Burglar" loading screen, "Crowbar" harvesting tool, Heist-themed emotes, sprays, and up to 400 V-Bucks.
Premium Track (1,000 V-Bucks or Crew Pack): Unlocks the Kingpin outfit — a sharply dressed mob boss skin with an alternate "Armored Kingpin" style, the "Safe Cracker" back bling, "Diamond-Handed" glider, and the "Heist Master" wrap collection.
Bonus Goals: Complete specific heist challenges to unlock the reactive "Cash Rain" emote and a golden variant of the Kingpin outfit known as "El Patrón."

Tips for Success: Communication is key when attempting vault heists in squads. Designate one player as the "lockpicker" (the one who carries the Keycard) while others provide covering fire. The Heist Guards hit hard and have increased health, so don't try to face-tank them — use the environment for cover. Also, be aware that other teams can see the vault icon on the map once it's been opened, so expect company. Consider setting up traps or using port-a-forts to control the entrance.

The Big Score event will run until June 15, 2026, giving players just over two weeks to complete the reward track and unlock everything. Given the quality of this season's offerings, Fortnite fans won't want to let this heist pass them by.
