Capcom's complete gamescom 2026 lineup has been officially unveiled, with Resident Evil 9: Requiem headlining alongside playable Code Veronica Remake demos.
Capcom has officially announced its full lineup for gamescom 2026, set to take place August 26-30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. The roster is headlined by two massive Resident Evil titles — the recently released Resident Evil 9: Requiem and the highly anticipated Code Veronica Remake.
RE:9 Requiem will feature prominently at Capcom's booth with a dedicated "Requiem Experience" area where attendees can compete for the fastest speedrun times on the newly released Mercenaries mode. The Stage Show program includes a developer deep-dive into the June 10 update's New Game+ and expanded Mercenaries content, alongside a Q&A session with producer Masato Kase.
Perhaps the most exciting announcement for survival horror fans is that the Code Veronica Remake will have its first-ever playable demo at gamescom. Several media outlets that had hands-on previews at SGF earlier this month have described the remake as "faithful yet dramatically expanded," retaining the classic third-person perspective while modernizing the control scheme and environmental detail. The demo is expected to cover the opening section of Claire's prison escape from Rockfort Island.
Beyond Resident Evil, Capcom's lineup includes Pragmata — the long-awaited sci-fi title that has maintained a surprising #2 position on US sales charts — and a new Monster Hunter Wilds expansion showcase. Pragmata's gamescom presence is particularly notable given its quiet period since last year's E3.
"Gamescom 2026 represents one of our most ambitious show floor presences ever," said a Capcom representative in a press statement. "From RE:9 Requiem's ongoing content journey to the first public hands-on with Code Veronica Remake, we're bringing something for every type of action and horror fan."
For RE:9 Requiem players, the gamescom lineup reaffirms Capcom's commitment to long-term support for the title. With premium story DLC already confirmed for later this year and the game's post-June-update player count surging 65%, the future of the latest chapter in the Resident Evil saga looks brighter than ever.
